Queen Bee by Mirabilia-Nora Corbett - patterns in stock.
Had to kit this for myself, what's not to love? Bee's and the Queen, no brainer.
First I had to change the color of the dress, the blues upper left are the new thread. And here's my terrible paint job just to give an idea. The needle minder actually says Queen Bee, and we've a zipper pull bee too. That will go onto the lovely velvet and sheer, beaded bag we have for you.
Fabric was a challenge, really didn't like the first two iteration so I kept plugging at it. This one takes a lot of time to get the dye just so but it's worth it. This "Tall" with the dark in the center around her face/body. The blue gray color accents her dress change and the Pixie Dust (sprinkles) adds fun. You can have the fabric in Aida or Linen, count your choice.
Here are the silks, our lovely, shiny, pretties to add umph. In addition to our silks you will also receive 30 DMC skeins, Kreinik #4 Braid in Aztec Gold. And something the kit doesn't suggest, a Mettalic Madiera Gold to add sparkle where you would like it. I'm adding it to the crown.
We purchased the beads in bulk to save money.
To keep all those beads safe while your beading we also have a Sticky Tin. We will send the beads in a reusable cloth bag, the tin is for when you start to stitch. The sticky stuff inside of the tin allows you to feed the beads onto the needle without them running away from you.
Lastly we have a neat commemorative, post earring and a necklace on an 18" chain.
Earrings have a bee on one and a daisy on the other. Our busy bee needs the daisy in order to keep him working. Perhaps if you wear them while stitching they will inspire you too.

For this pattern we went with a pale steel and gold for the fabric.
And this lovely set of threads.This is the New Normal by Long Dog Samplers Pattern found on her web site.
So far this has been painted in purple blue and green fabric with Intentional painting which changes for the different bubbles. We put the unicorns on the grass and so on. For the thread we went with 2 different blues and a purple. The thread on the left is the single (actually 2 plies) only works with 14 ct Aida as it's fatter and you use it as is. The other 2 shown here are two different dye techniques. On the left a semi solid, on the right are the 3 colors without the blending.
And we painted a pale Fall color with a burgundy brown thread.

Rainbow Tall with Pixie Dust (sprinkles Both were painted at the same time with the same colors... the difference is the base. The skinny one is "DMC", the one on the right is "Stiff Stuff" which doesn't soften but takes the color much faster and deeper. Most of the sprinkles washed off of the skinny one.

The rest are in 6 ply cotton. The fabric for this one is done in a different technique where we paint the center one color and the edges a different color.
We are eventually going to get samples up of all of the different colors but we have so many (75-100) that it will take some time. We can go as dark as you like but find that the lighter ones are better. If you want some iteration of brown, we have many colors from pale tan through to the darkest brown.

We cross stitch and tested our methods for months before feeling very comfortable with our dyeing techniques. ALL our fabrics are painted, set and then the excess dye is removed via a chemical reheating, set again and finally are dried. We know how important it is for these not to bleed at all, and so we are very conscientious about it.
