Space Invaders

Time for our hooded scarf, yup innovation lies ahead. This one seemed to have all these options to play with. While designing, I kept saying to myself, "alternately", where ya'll need to decide your route.

At first I thought this design had snow motifs, once I saw the "invaders" I couldn't unsee them. They are marching across the bottom of the hood and scarf.

This is a mystery KAL which is hosted on Ravelry and Facebook in our groups. I hope to begin March 22, with clues coming out once a week on Wednesday. If it changes I'll post to social media.

YARN
The one ya'll love the most
  • Milky Silky - 70/20/10 merino/silk/cashmere, 3 skeins, 430yds/100g

This base will strike color harder and faster they will be deeper and richer.

GOODIES
Stitch Markers candy corn marker sold out

You only need 5 but I had so much fun designing these wee alien's that I made too many. You will get 13 loops and 2 lobster markers, see below for ID of second lobster. These two lobsters are larger then our normal size. But smaller then our normal bigs, about 5/8ths". The white lobster, I keep seeing the Fat Babies from Dr. Who. see here   The lobster totally looks like a fat baby. At first I thought she was the nanny/mother will return all your fat to the ship to return to their home planet. Yeah, why did I go Whoniverse? Your guess is as good as mine. Space? Aliens? Wishing I had Adipose (pills)? We need to make some fat babies, "the fat just walks away". We need to knit some fat babies, tiny ones, put them all in a line walking out the door! Fun!
The second lobster sold out is a single eye, candy corn invader. This one should be under freebies, I have a small amount and then they will drop off.

Fob
These remind me of the Space Invader fighter pilots (bottom) shooting at the enemy (lobster).  I've wanted to make these for a long time. The crystals twinkle so beautifully in the light. These are on memory wire in order to keep them long and lithe. Photo doesn't do them justice, you get one, quantity limited. Will drop out of the kit when they are sold out and kit pricing will drop too.

CLASP

This is the clasp that's needed for this hooded scarf.

FREEBIES
I got em, you want em. This time it's a mystery... what will I come up with next?

NOTIONS

Six crochet hooks in organizer box are all for lace work for 6,8 and 11 beads you get 2 of each manufacturer and 10 caps.

If you don't have a Chiagoo needle, fixed, for lace, with red cable, you need to get them. That cable of theirs has never kinked on me after over a decade of knitting.

Sticky Tins and Jars keep beads from rolling, Tins are about 6 inches and the Jar is over 2".
