Rosie

Rosie is also our mascot of sorts, she's our rose covered sheep. Lamkin is wearing one of the freebies, the pretty pink roses. They both approve,  it's a go, we have lift off.

This years heirloom is for all those people who've always wanted to knit an heirloom but were afraid to try. It's worked on fine lace weight yarn instead of cobweb. Worked on US size 1 needles instead of 00 or 0. While there are no beads, you can replace the nupps with beads if you'd like. Rosie is a 6 wedge shawl for ease of wear and has half the number of rows as our normal heirlooms.  Shawl is full of all original lace roses, leaves and other flowers imbedded in the lace work.

YARN

Kits contain 3 skeins of Fairy Lace Fine, 100% SW merino, 1,300 yards per 100g. 

I went online and found some stupendous roses as inspiration for yarn painting. Without further ado, I give you, yaaaarrrn.

These top two are painted with the Meldy Deep technique. These are painted many times in different ways and so have several colors in them, while still reading one color.

Old Dutch Rose

The bottom two are given a bath and then different colors are added in. Still reading solid.

GOODIES

While there are no beads on the pattern, you can replace the nupps with them. Chose a matching color from your favorite bead store, 40 grams, size 8/0 should do.

FOB AND MARKERS

The XL lobster is really large and should be able to close around some fairly large straps. There's another one of these holding the 10 stitch markers on. The lobster is found on the left side.

ABACUS

There's two here, it's a buy one get one free deal, cause I couldn't decide. The bottom has smaller rings which is great for size US 6 and below. The top will go onto your larger needles. That lobster, made of plastic and comes in different colors, random.
